Ares not able to connect

Filed under: General — Laura @ 8:19 pm

Ares Galaxy has been a stalwart in the Ares filesharing software world since day one. It has always been there for me and for many others.

Unfortunately the old workhorse has start give up the ghost. Not only is Ares galaxy past its sell by date, but there some trouble with Ares not connecting to its network properly. This is a major annoyance for many people. Ares connecting is just something that happens: like morning turning into the evening.

The problem with Ares not connecting appears to be originating from the cnodes (listen at me… sounds like I know what I’m talking about. Really I don’t, I just happened to hear it from someone that does!) not repopulating properly when the program is up and running. This results in Ares not connecting when you fire it back up.

Fortunately help is at hand. Ares Ultimate and Ares Vista – both relative newcomers to the scene – are programmed so that the cnodes problem is not a problem. In addition to solving the Ares connecting problem this software is just, well, better. Good job all round, really, and once you’ve made the swap you’ll be wondering just why you didn’t do it last year.
