The acai berry is held in very high esteem by quite a number of people: not only is it tasty and extremely nutritious, but it contains a high concentration of amino acids and anti-oxidants. These are very good for your body and are reported to help prevent cancer, diabetes and even Alzheimer’s.
The bad news is that Acai is only grown in the Amazon basin in Brazil and does not travel very well at all. One of the ways that harvesters have found to get around this is to make the berries into acai juice or a pulp. Some distributors have made the acai berry into a pill or a fruit, but how this can even be compared to the natural acai juice I just don’t know. I wouldn’t advise that you try either the powder or the pill. Go for the real stuff instead.
One advantage of acai juice is that it is easy to take with you when you are on the move. You don’t have to prepare any complex food or carry any bulky ingredients around with you: you can take it to the office, on a journey in the car, or where ever you want. The acai juice is one of the most convenient ways of getting this miracle fruit into your system.

The acai diet – a diet incorporating the world’s favourite food, the acai berry — is growing in popularity. And rightly so.
the New York Times described acai in 2004 as being “Rich in antioxidants and amino acids”; this particular article continued to state that “acai is though to be one of the most nutritional fruits in the Amazon basin”. In fact it’s one of the most nutritious fruits known anywhere. It really is an amazing little thing.
An acai diet is one of the best ways to control your weight. It helps that the acai berry is one of the tastiest fruits around — as well as one of the healthiest — so the acai diet feels much less of a chore than other comparable diets. The beauty of it is that the acai diet is suitable for absolutely everyone.
There are plenty of claims around that put the acai diet as being capable of curing everything disease known to man (and even some not known to man) and let’s be realistic about this: acai and the acai diet is not a panacea. It is quite simply the best way to lose weight and to get on the track to a healthy lifestyle. What more could you possibly want?
