Ares Destiny has a good but flawed interface

Written by Laura on Oct 31st, 2008 | Filed under: General

When something doesn’t meet your expectations, when it falls short by some distance of what it originally promised, it is easy to feel a little despondent. When it actually doesn’t fall short, but proves itself to be a complex web of evil lies and deceit then you feel downright hostile.

Ares Destiny has some very dark secrets to hide, and I feel a little hostile towards it for not revealing them to me before. I have been sucked in by false promises only to be battered over the head by its dark accomplice.

What am I talking about? Well, I am referring to the fact that Ares Destiny – a fairly new entrant onto the file sharing market – comes bundled with some rather nasty spyware called Dealio. When I say ‘bundled’ I actually mean that Dealio sneaks in as you’re trying innocently to install Ares Destiny. In fact Ares Destiny runs through your system and opens the bathroom window to let it in without you knowing.

Ares Destiny is a fairly good piece of software – it’s not at a stage where it’s beating winners like Ares Vista just yet, but it has potential – so it’s difficult for me to accept this slap in the face.

Every home based business requires a lot of hard work

Written by Laura on Oct 30th, 2008 | Filed under: General

What benefits does owning and running your own home based business bring? This short article will try and enumerate the immense pleasure and freedom that a home based business can bring you. But remember: it does not come by itself. Every home based business requires a lot of hard work and attention, just like any other business.

First you have the freedom that working your own hours can bring. If you want to pop out to pick up your kids or your wife (or husband) then you are free to do so. If you want to work nights then you can do that too. If you want to work 20 hours a day or just 4, a home based business can be the answer, too.

Another very real benefit is the fact that you work for yourself. No more pandering to the whims of “the man” in the office. No more making coffee for ungrateful coworkers who make no attempt at being sociable.

Then there’s the commute. Set off at 8.59 and be in your office at 9.00. Magic. This really can be a reality with a home based business.

Whatever your reasons for wanting a change in lifestyle, a home based business could well be the answer to your prayers.

Make the best choice and download Ares

Written by Laura on Oct 25th, 2008 | Filed under: General

Filesharing simply isn’t something that I’m awfully interested in. That’s what I thought, at least: I just want to download Ares Vista, install it, and be on my merry way. This was before I went accidentally stumbled upon the Official Ares Vista .com site. I’ve got to admit that I really was hooked.

Official Ares Vista really is the best place from which to download Ares Vista. What makes it so easy to download Ares Vista – and make sure you’ve got the right version! – are the honest, unbiased and forthright comparisons of the different versions that are available. If the guys over there don’t like something about the software then they will tell you: there is no pussy footing around trying to be nice to people. Unbiased reviews like this are so important in a market where it is difficult to tell the ‘paid’ reviews from the genuine ones. Whether you’re an old hand or new to the game, I would definitely advise you to visit Official Ares Vista before you download Ares Vista.

While you’re waiting to download Ares Vista you might find yourself visiting other parts of the site: the news section is always entertaining, while their FAQs and Tutorials might be of use to many people.

The fact is there is a lot to this site.

Acai helps with cholesterol

Acai and the anti-aging diet

Acai is a Brazilian berry original from the Amazon Region that is considered to be one of nature’s most complete and healthy foods. The acai berry is loaded with antioxidants, amino acids, essential omegas, fibers and protein. Some of the health benefits associated with the acai berry are: increase in sustained energy, help with healthy cholesterol management, improvement of digestive system, strengthening immune system, among others. Oprah’s website described acai as “one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world…”, while the book, The Perricone Promise, calls it the “nature’s perfect energy fruit.” over at www.tangent.com.

People everywhere are looking for answers to the problems of aging — not only its outward manifestations, like wrinkles, but also the physical and mental ones as well. Doctors of every kind recommend the obvious lifestyle changes like more exercises and a healthier diet, but many are starting to recommend very specific foods with very specific properties, with acai topping list.

In an article written for the popular online health resource Webmd.com, Kathleen M. Zelman (and reviewed by Louise Chang, MD), talks about the power of foods which have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to stave off the onset or effects of illnesses like heart disease, cancer, osteoporosis, and even Alzheimer’s. The fact that as we get older, our bodies are more and more susceptible to the long-term effects of “oxidative stress” and cellular inflammation makes foods with the properties to fight these effects the most attractive for people looking to age well.

Citing Dr. Nicholas Perricone, she relays that the foods that are rich in antioxidants and are anti-inflammatory, are things like cold-water fish and richly-colored fruits and vegetables. Dr. Perricone, as we have discussed in previous posts, provided a list of ten “super foods” chosen for their ability to fight off the effects of age — the acai fruit is at the very top of the list, topping all vegetables, nuts and seeds as the best food you can get with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits.

While this confirms what we already knew, it’s always refreshing to see people who are health advocates and experts echo what we have been telling our customers and people in general: that acai is an incredible food to eat for energy, fiber, and for its rich content of omega acids and anti-oxidants. It truly is nature’s super food, and we are so glad to be able to bring it to you in a way that is sure to transmit those healthy benefits. If you are new to our site and blog, check out all of the acai products we have, including acai powder, freeze dried acai, and acai supplements and get with the acai roots lifestyle!

Touch screen PC

Written by Laura on Oct 23rd, 2008 | Filed under: General

Nobu just released a new inwall touchscreen computer that will be shipping by mid-December. The unit features a 1.0GHz fanless Intel processor, a revolutionary 4GB solid state disk drive.

Here is an excerp from the folks from Nobu:

The new 8″ panel is a fully functional inwall touchscreen PC with all necessary input/output ports to control any subsystem or automation hardware in your home or office. Our goal with the new design is to satisfy a large demand for a smaller inwall touchpanel as well as to create the most robust, powerful, and visually appealing touchscreen computer on the planet. We designed the N8 without a fan because we wanted to eliminate noise and also to eliminate possible points of failure which is also why we will offer the high performance industrial Embedded Disk Card (iEDC) hard drive as an alternative to a standard 5400RMP hard drive. The N8 touchscreen PC will have a fanless 1.0 GHz Intel Celeron M processor. The N8 will be available with Windows XP Professional. We can also sell the N8 without an operating system for special applications.

Sarah Palin was elected city councilor or Wasilla

Written by Laura on Oct 22nd, 2008 | Filed under: General

Sarah Palin is not the type of cuddly warm lady that you might expect from looking at her. I mean, she probably is in many respects, but in the political sense she most definitely is not: she is a staunch Republican as you can get without bordering on the offensive. And Sarah definitely isn’t offensive in her views, just committed and convicted. For a politician to be able to confidently stand behind their convictions is a refreshing change: you will not see any half-attempts at pathetic U-turns from Sarah Palin.

If you like gun toting moose hunters who take their (five) kids to hockey on the weekend then you might get on well with Sarah Palin. If you’re an advocate of same sex marriage, animal rights or, God forbid, abortion, then you probably will not; Sarah Palin has described abortion as an atrocity and she does not support it in any circumstances.

This is one woman that should not – would not – cross. She’s beautiful and truly personable, but she would run you down if it meant that she got what she wanted.

Make no mistake: Sarah Palin will try her hardest in any job she may land, whether that be the continuation of her role as Governor of Alaska, or whether it be Vice President in the White House.

Does WMI fit you?

Looking for the right business opportunity is like looking for the right car, the right house or the job. Except it’s more permanent than that. Perhaps searching for a spouse with which to spend the rest of your life with: you might get lucky and hit upon a winner, but you might also find someone with whom you are completely incompatible. In this last situation the nightmare scenario is when you don’t realize until after you are married.

Home business opportunities can be like this and that is why it is absolutely essential to do you research properly before you dive in with both feet. I looked at the Wealth Masters International opportunity lately: it looked good and I was getting pretty excited.

I’d been doing some online research and getting either really good reviews encouraging me to jump in now, or negative reviews advising me to go somewhere else. I was about to give the Wealth Masters International plan the go ahead when something clicked in my head: I didn’t know whether any of these reviews were legitimate or not. I could go and write a review for Wealth Masters International and put it online, but that wouldn’t mean I knew anything about it. I started to look for genuine information that wasn’t biased, and eventually found what I wanted. Nothing wrong with the opportunity, I could just see that it wasn’t for me.

What will your first experience be like?

Written by Laura on Oct 17th, 2008 | Filed under: General

A friend of mine suggested that we went on a magical mystery tour, visited the green magic dragon and danced with the fairies. I asked her what on earth she was talking about. Her response was simple and succinct: Salvia.

We had tried most drugs together on an occasional basis over the years. Some experiences were bad but mostly they were positive. There was one regrettable incident that ended in the bedroom but at least we can laugh about that today. Salvia was something that we have never tried before but something that we have all now heard a lot about thanks to some media outlets picking it up as their favorite topic of all time.

We bought the Salvia legally online and went quickly to work. It was deemed sensible that I went first while she ’spotted’ me. Good job she did!

I was fine for the first two or three minutes, apparently, but then all hell broke loose. I was attacked by three headed-dogs and green dragons. A fairy came and I can only assume she chased the animals away; then she turned into the cactus near the window. My thrashing about nearly knocked a few ornaments flying and it was only my friend’s quick thinking that saved me and them.

Salvia is certainly an interesting experience!

iPhone headset is king of the iPhone accessories

Written by Laura on Oct 16th, 2008 | Filed under: General

Everyone who owns an iPhone is well aware of the often confusing mass of iPhone accessories that are available for their favorite little gadget. Many existing iPod accessories can actually double as iPhone accessories so there may not be any need to buy new headphones, for example. If you are looking for new headphones then I would strongly advise that you look into the Bose set. They are expensive but well worth every penny. The sound they provide is quite simply awesome.

Looking after your iPhone and its crystal clear screen can be made easier with the most dull of all iPhone accessories, the protective case. Dull, as I say, but absolutely essential.

Bluetooth headsets can be very useful if you’re doing a lot of driving and want to chat to your mates while you’re on the road then they can be a very useful addition to your iPhone accessories arsenal.

Last on my list of must-have iPhone accessories is the travel pillow. This is no ordinary travel pillow as it incorporates some headphones. You lay back, put the headphones in and you can listen to the soothing sounds of your music rather than the relentless chatter from those around you. Perfect for domestic disagreements!

The Holy grail of iPhone TV

Written by admin on Oct 3rd, 2008 | Filed under: General

People get excited about the iPhone. It doesn’t really matter what (if anything) Apple are doing ‎with it at the time, but people get really, really excited at the prospect of anything. Apple just has ‎inexplicable grip on people. You can imagine the excitement that bringing iPhone TV to the ‎masses will produce. And Apple are planning on doing just this.‎

The production of iPhone is a shrewd move for Apple (all of Apple’s moves seem to be shrewd): ‎not only will it enhance the appeal of the iPhone, but like so many of its ventures, iPhone TV will ‎be directly profitable in its own right and at last the mac games will emerge ‎

Imagine being able to provide commercials to people as they approach a particular department ‎store in town. This is the kind of thing that might be possible with iPhone TV. You’re watching TV ‎on the bus on the way to work when, bang!, you get hit with advertisements about a local breakfast ‎joint. This might not be what Apple has in mind for iPhone TV, but this is just an example of what ‎might be possible with advertising. Even ’standard’ advertising will be well targeted to the type of ‎person that like buying gadgets. ‎
